BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Following is a summary of news reports posted until 10:00 p.m. Baghdad local time Tuesday – July 13:


*Politics:
BAGHDAD - The National Alliance rejects the postponement of the parliament’s session and calls for holding an urgent session, official spokesman of Hamam Hamoudi, a leading figure of the INA, said on Tuesday.
BAGHDAD - A survey conducted by Aswat al-Iraq news agency on its Web site in three languages; Arabic, English and Kurdish, indicated that most of the voters expected that political blocs will not be able to form the government within the constitutional period (one month).
BAGHDAD - Iraq’s oil minister said on Tuesday that recent statements made by some politicians regarding the investment plan amounts for the past four years are incorrect.
ARBIL - President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, praised on Tuesday efforts made by the Canadian ambassador to Iraq in developing relations with Kurdistan, expressing the region’s readiness to develop and expand these relations, according to a presidential statement.
*Security:

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX) index went up by 0.2% on Tuesday to close at 94.2 points as rates of shares of 16 out of a total 34 traded firms increased, compared to a decrease by 0.2% to close at 93.9 points during the previous secession.
BASRA - Two foreign companies discussed on Tuesday with Basra Governor Shaltagh Abboud al-Mayah implementing investment projects in housing and tourist sectors in the province, a media source said
