Maliki Confirms Money Coming into Iraq to Change the Election Results

Nasiriyah (Hazem Mohammed Habib): Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced the receipt of large amounts of money from outside the country to change the election results. The statement said al-Maliki with the announcement of new measures to thwart terrorist operations before and during the elections.
Prime Minister warned in a statement to the “morning” during his visit to Dhi Qar province yesterday, from the use of public money to buy votes, they returned it, “a betrayal of the religion and the homeland.
He said al-Maliki: “The Baathists and found that there is no room for coups, so they resorted to sneaking across the bright slogans to gain power,” calling on voters to “look at the background remain at those slogans before casting their ballots,” urging at the same time not following behind some of the media which promotes the constitutional vacuum and security during the elections and the formation of the government.
Indicated that the highest religious authority, Ali al-Sistani called on all citizens to participate actively in the elections to be held on the seventh of next month, at a time when President Jalal Talabani, the importance of fair competition between political entities, candidates for the elections.
In the meantime, Minister of State for National Security Waeli announced new measures to thwart any terrorist operations.
The formation of Toukin security measures and monitor the entrances and exits of cities and the maintenance of military units that place, with the provision of a comprehensive information base and rapid movements of any terrorist groups, according to Waeli.
Minister of State for National Security in an exclusive statement to “Al Sabah”: “The leaders of the various operations throughout the regions of Iraq will be on high alert and prepare for any threat or emergency before elections,” adding that the security committee for the elections following the comprehensive security plan to maintain security during the elections across the country and deal with all the information carefully and accurately in accordance with data on high on the ground.
Waeli disclosed on the receipt “integrated intelligence information indicates the presence of terrorist plots to influence the elections,” explaining that the information received through intelligence unit, run by the national commander of the armed forces, pointing at the same time that the security plan approved for the failure of these schemes will continue to the end of the elections and the security forces will be a high degree of readiness.
He noted that the role of his ministry in the security committee of the election is to provide information and monitor violations and to deal with threats of immediate and realistic, especially that terrorism seeks to foil the elections, adding that terrorism betting to make a serious concern prior to and during the elections, but stressed that security measures far exceed those criminal threats
