Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, the Iraqi government’s keenness to develop relations with France in all fields, including economic and industrial development.
A statement issued by the prime minister MEMRI reporter (news agency, Iraqi Information / conscious) that the prime minister said when meeting with French Industry Minister Christian Iistrossi, who is visiting Baghdad, “Iraq today has become a country does not constitute a threat to the region and efforts focused towards the ages and meet the rest of the terrorism, so we look forward to the role of France and all friendly countries and support for Iraq to stand beside him to get out of Chapter VII and the international sanctions imposed on it. ”
For his part, said French Industry Minister had signed with the Ministry of Industry series of contracts in the areas of vehicle assembly, roads and civil aviation, expressed the hope that cooperation between the two countries include the fields of oil, energy, electricity and agriculture. Reiterated his support for the Iraqi government that it seeks to maintain the security, stability and prosperity of Iraq and to contribute to the development of the Iraqi economy and the process of building and reconstruction.
