Saturday, January 23rd 2010
Baghdad, Jan. 23 (AKnews) - Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki said some Iraqi politicians are responsible for "confusing" the work of the government.
"We feel sad when some politicians announce on television that this law violates the constitution and we should vote on it as we voted on previous that violate the constitution. It is shameful to say that Iraq and Iraqis violate the Constitution ", in reference to the electoral behavior law that some political blocs are intending to vote on it to prevent the government from using the public funds in electoral campaigns. Maliki said in a speech while he was attending the founding conference of Bani Rikab tribe in Baghdad.
"The state budget that all services depend on is suspended for political reasons. They say we won't ratify on the budget if you didn't give us this or that law ,and how is the budget linked to other laws? Who is responsible for delaying the budget for the fifth month, and how will the government act? this is a way to delude the citizens to tell him that the former government made him tired and that he should not elect it again andthis is shameful. " Maliki said during the conference which was attended by the correspondent of the Independen National News Agency of Kurdistan (AKnews).
Al Maliki said that "many politicians are challenging the unity of Iraq and its people. All politicians have to review each step in the political process that we sacrificed a lot for it because this process is our future and we'll never go back down , and someone targeted a member in the government then he is targeting the political process because that person stand up for Iraq and the political process. "
Maliki warned of the work of some satellite channels, saying "Beware of the poisoned media during the next phase because it deals with the various false accusations supported by international and regional powers to disrupt the loyal Iraqi and you can see how do satellite channels work and accuse without proof, I do not carp too much on satellite channels that gets a lot of money, but I carp on the Iraqis and the politicians who stand beside these channels. "
Maliki said: "We never heard the politicians thanking the police and military personnel who die and endanger them selves in order to maintain the security. Did any one thank those who gave us freedom? We only hear condemns and the terrorists from Qaeda and Baath are supported by politicians."
