Zebari, Feltman discuss efforts to get Iraq out of Chapter VII

On Monday august 16, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received the Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the bilateral ties between Iraq and US and follow up the works of Coordination Joint Committee for Political and Diplomatic Cooperation as well as Iraq’s efforts to get out of Chapter VII.
In another part of the meeting, they discussed the stances of political parties on the forming new Iraqi government and emphasizing on the significance of time in the process to present a positive picture of Iraq and its political process to the international community.
Also they emphasized on internal and external challenges which will face Iraq in case of the continuation of political stagnation to form new Iraqi government.
