* Politics:
BAGHDAD - The Sunni Iraqi Accord Front (IAF) has expressed its reservations about the outcome of the parliamentary elections, which has resulted in the victory of Iyad Allawi’s al-Iraqiya List.
BAGHDAD - The outgoing deputy prime minister, Rafie al-Issawi, has met with the special representative of the United Nations secretary general for Iraq (SRSG), Ad Melkert, to discuss efforts to form the upcoming government.
BAGHDAD - The names of the winners in Iraq’s parliamentary elections will be published tomorrow in the country’s official newspapers, the head of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) said on Sunday.

NINEWA - Fourteen wanted persons have been arrested during search raids in different parts of Mosul City, a local security source said on Sunday.
ANBAR - Three civilians were killed and eight others were injured in three blasts that hit Anbar, a local security source said on Sunday.
ANBAR - An improvised explosive device (IED) has detonated near the house of a police officer in Anbar, but no casualties were reported, a local police source said on Sunday.
NINEWA - A partial curfew has been imposed in western Mosul and search raids are currently underway in the province, an army source said on Sunday.
ANBAR - A curfew on vehicles, bikes and motorbikes has been imposed in Anbar until further notice in the aftermath of a series of blast that killed three and wounded eight others in al-Qaem district.
BASRA - Twelve wanted persons and suspects have been arrested on different criminal charges and an amount of ammunition has been seized in Basra, a local security source said on Sunday.

KIRKUK - The Kirkuk council has held an emergency meeting with the U.S. forces and the local reconstruction center to discuss joint projects, a local media source said on Sunday.
BASRA - An Italian company has discussed with the governor of Basra the possibility of conducting investment projects in the fields of oil and construction, a local media source said on Sunday.
BASRA - Local wool has been exported to Iran through the Abu Falous Port in Basra province, the public relations and media director at the State Company for Iraqi Ports said on Sunday.
