Samurai meets Mr. Ed Melkert official mission of the United Nations Office of the President of the House of Representatives
President al-Samarrai calls to determine the specific work of the accountability and justice, and not continue to mop-up sword hanging on the necks of the candidates before and after the elections
I receive Iyad Samarrai, Iraqi Parliament Speaker in his home today by Mr. Ed Melkert of the United Nations official working in Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed the current situation and the consequences of the decision of the Appeals and the impact on the functioning of the electoral process.
Where the President expressed concern about the Samurai migrate to the crisis after the election after that shows the number of votes obtained by each candidate and that would mop atmosphere more intense and more susceptible to politicization.
The president called al-Samarrai to give a specific period to provide the accountability and justice all the documents and evidence against their candidates, and otherwise is the eradication of the void and not continue to mop-up sword hanging over their necks.
They also discussed the role of FAO in providing technical support to the work of the Independent Higher Commission for Elections, where Mr. Speaker importance of oversight and auditing of all joints of the electoral process until the final results of the elections, stressing that the next stage is a very sensitive stage and should be to ensure that the operation is done with the utmost transparency and clarity.
In a separate meeting received the President of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in his home, Mr. Faraj President of the Board of Commissioners of the Electoral Commission for elections, as has been reviewed by the Commission’s procedures in the light of decisions of the discriminatory and procedures for the elections displaced inside Iraq and outside it.
