United Nations envoy of Biden obstructed the formation of the Iraqi government

Accelerated calls and statements to the international option in the formation of the Iraqi government for a fourth day, respectively, while issued a robust response from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki Outgoing warning that intervention in the formation of the government, at the time of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the UN Iraq Ed Melkert consultations in Washington with Joe Biden, U.S. Vice President and U.S. officials to discuss developments in Iraq after the elections and the obstacles to forming the next government.
According to a statement issued by the White House said Melkert, Vice-President Joe Biden in the form of developments in the Iraqi scene and political contradictions facing agreement on forming a government. The statement added that the two sides stressed the need for justice and transparency in the electoral process and especially respect for the voices of Iraqi voters, and threw their support behind the decision of the Electoral Commission to recount the vote in Baghdad with the participation of independent observers.
The statement ended by saying that Biden told Melkert Ban urges Iraqi politicians to move forward in accepting the election results and government formation in a timely manner.
For his part, said Hani Ashour adviser Iraqi List (time) yesterday, that the list maintains the role of the United Nations to complete the sponsorship of the elections so that diffuse the crisis, Iraqi government, and added: This role, mainly related to the role of protecting the largest undertaken by the United Nations to help settle the files of serious and Iraq, including a disputed areas.
At the time said Hoshyar Zebari, Iraqi Foreign Minister: Iraq may be needed to assist the United Nations to complement its role in Iraq.
He explained: The legitimacy of such assistance under Chapter VII which places Iraq under international protection, Ashour said in his statement that the withdrawal from the political process option set out in the aftermath of the crisis.
He added: The best solution is for the transitional government of independents, in full coordination of the Iraqi and the list of al-Hakim and the Sadrists and the Kurdish coalition and openly on the list al-Maliki to end the file and there is power, however, the current government, whose mandate expired and can not keep acting as if the highest authority, and hinted that internationalize the formation of the government is still on the table, but this invitation does not receive an international response.
